Our founding principles & beliefs at Creative Connections Therapy
Under the leadership and vision of Clinical Director Debbie, Creative Connections Therapy promotes an interdisciplinary therapy model. Debbie is both an adult counsellor, a children’s therapist, as well as having 20 years’ experience as an early years teacher and SEN leader within primary education. She is also a mother of twins with additional needs.
Creative Connections was born out of a determination to create a service that bridges the gap between statutory services and other private health and therapeutic services. We are dedicated and passionate about our focus on collaborative working, as we believe in supporting a child’s entire family and their wider support team to achieve the best outcomes for the children in our care. We do this by working in partnership to support children, parents and schools to access our specialist therapeutic interventions that help meet the needs of the whole child – from attachment, through to sensory integration, emotional regulation, social communication, and self-esteem, to provide holistic support for each child in crisis. By considering all these areas, we can build on strong foundations and help these children heal.
Thank you for being part of a new wave of change for children’s mental health and well-being, one that puts the needs of the child at the heart of everything.

What we do
-
Unique & Family Led
CCT provides a bespoke service to children and their families with the aim of supporting all families in achieving happiness and mental wellbeing. Some children call it the play place, some children call it their special space, but every child knows that it is a safe space where they get to play, connect, learn, feel safe and explore. Our parents feel the same; there is always a cup of tea, and a friendly ear awaiting you at CCT.
-
Together & Meaningfully
All our therapeutic treatment goals are set in partnership with families and schools in order to be meaningful. We want to help each child and family in a bespoke way to achieve the best outcomes. We make sure our families not only understand their child’s needs better but are able to track the whole process and feel confident in how we are working with their child. We work in partnership to equip parents and school staff with strategies to support the child’s mental health needs.
We work closely to provide therapeutic interventions to support children within schools and children’s centres in the Reading, Wokingham, and the Bracknell area. We work in partnership with teachers, and social and health care professionals to deliver bespoke support for each individual child who comes into our service.
-
Connection & Growth
We know that children want to make the most of their life to connect, participate, grow and learn. When they are unable to do so, we can help change a child’s experience and unlock their full sense of their place in the world.
-
Passionate & Innovative
Creative Connections already work as part of a wider interdisciplinary team for each family who comes into our service, and we are committed to continue to constantly develop and innovate our practice to provide the very best in collaborative care for your family.
